In order to strengthen the partnership and activate the channels of communication with relevant institutions to serve the community, a mutual cooperation agreement took place on Wednesday 08.01.2012 in the Department of Lands and Survey with the Petra Region Authority. Under this agreement, signed by the Director General of the Department of Lands and Survey Engineer Nidal Al-Sagarat and General Manager of Petra Region Authority Engineer Mohamed Abu Al-Ghanam, Lands & Survey department will provide the needed Maps to the Authority, and the two sides will exchange the cartographic information. The Director General of the Department of Lands and Survey Engineer Nidal Al-Sagarat declared that the importance of this agreement comes from its impact on simplifying the procedures between the two sides and the flexibility in dealing with the Authority, and that DLS will put all its expertise in the hands of the Authority to do its work to the fullest, in order to solve the problems of citizens in the region. From his side, Engineer Mohamed Abu Al-Ghanam praised the achievements of Lands and Survey Department in the Kingdom and expressed his admiration for the level of performance and accuracy of information provided to citizens and government departments as being one of the oldest government departments in the country and which is devoted to preserve the rights of citizens.
