DLS Mission

  Establishing, documenting, and preserving the right to own immovable property and facilitating practicing this right as well as providing the database necessary for the establishment of the Geographic Information System and continuing to improve and develop the quality of real estate services provided to service recipients with the participation of the public and private sectors nationally and internationally.

The Department is committed to continuously review and develop the procedures and services it provides in the fields of establishing and maintaining real estate property rights, preserving and maintaining them, and facilitating dealing with them within the legislations and laws that govern their work through the implementation of the quality management system that complies with the requirements of ISO 9001: 2008.​

Department's Objectives

Preserve, document, maintain and facilitate the exercise of immovable property rights and provide the database necessary for the establishment of the national geographic information system.

  This main objective entails the following subobjectives 
A-  Direct Subobjectives  
1   

Conducting a comprehensive survey of the Kingdom's lands and conducting all selection, editing, and cadastral operations.

2   

Establishment and maintenance of triangulation networks of fourth and fifth orders, based on the national geodetic network, of the degrees 1, 2, and 3

3   

Completion of transactions for the registration of immovable property and the determination and payment of fees resulting therefrom.

4   

Management of state property through acquisition, leasing, delegation, and allocation.

5   

Comprehensive assessment of the value and sustainability of immovable property.

6  

Save and document real estate property information.

7  

Establishing and sustaining the Geographical Land Information Database (Cadastral Information System (CIS)) as a core nucleus in the national information system.

8  

Conduct research and studies and prepare statistical data related to statistical activities.

9   

Regulate the profession of surveying and real estate offices.

10     

To contribute to providing the national sectors and other Arab countries with specialized technical competencies.

Contribute to the support and development of tax systems related to land and real estate activities.

12  

Assist in the development of regions and the development of natural planning in land management.

13  

Coordinating with all public and private bodies in the exchange of information and unifying the bases and standards.

Representing Jordan in local, regional and international organizations and conferences concerned with land rights and land information systems.
